This post is brought to you by Irvine Park Railroad.
I can’t believe that Easter is coming so soon. Where has time gone? I suppose I’ve been too busy to notice that it’s already April and it’s time to make plans for spring activities.
This year, we plan on stopping by Irvine Park Railroad’s Easter Eggstravaganza. The festivities will run through April 19, 2014. My kids love Easter egg hunting so much that I actually extend this activity past Easter Sunday. At Irvine Park Railroad, kids 2 through 12 can participate in an Easter egg hunt, where each egg will be filled with a surprise. Easter egg hunts begin daily at 10:00 AM. You must purchase tickets for a specific time. Just make sure to bring an Easter basket to fill, or you can always buy one at the park.
Easter Eggstravaganza activities
- Meet the Easter Bunny at a cost of $10.00 per family or group
- Hay rides
- Moon bounce
- Easter cookie decorating
- Carnival games
- Face painting
- Picture stands
As usual, I suggest going during the weekday to avoid crowds. Although, I must say that it’s going to be hard since it’s spring break for a lot of schools. Also, remember that parking at the park is $3 per vehicle on the weekdays and $5 on the weekends. It will take a couple of hours to go through all the activities, so plan ahead. Might I also suggest packing a picnic lunch or snack and go around the park. It’s beautiful, with lots of playgrounds, and so much space to just run around.
