I don’t know what it is this year, but I was definitely way behind in getting Big B a Halloween costume. One reason could be that he was not sure what he wanted to be. As much as I want to make his costumes, I am just not that crafty. I thought about doing a costume exchange, but I didn’t have time to organize one this year. Enter online shopping.
We received the Luke Skywalker costume from Costume Discounters for review. (Disclosure: Sponsored post.) Big B absolutely loved it from the moment I took it out of the packaging. He initially wanted to be a ninja. After seeing the Luke Skywalker costume on the website, he quickly changed his mind.
Costume Discounters Luke Skywalker costume features
Comes with tunic, pants, and belt (lightsaber not included)
Tunic and pants are 100% polyester
Fits true to size
Hand wash only
I loved the way the costume fit Big B. Given that this costume has to fit boys with a range of shapes and weight, overall it was a good fit. Although the body of the tunic was a little bit big, the sleeves were just the right length for him. The pants were a bit long, maybe by 2-3 inches, but he managed.
Although the tag says hand wash only. I did run it through the washer on normal cycle. I hung dried it and it was fine. I did not notice any signs of shrinking.
The price point of the costume is currently $25.99. It’s cheaper than pretty much the same costume on other websites (and I did my research). Currently, Costume Discounters is having a sale for 20% off costumes $25 and up. The sale ends Sunday, October 27, 2013. The online shop also has a price match guarantee and a 20% off deal. That’s customer service.
