The last couple of weeks have been rough on my family’s diet. I’ve been too busy with finishing up my dissertation to cook anything. We pretty much live off of store bought food several times a week. With that, comes snack foods too. Well, at least I’m snacking on quinoa.
We received a case of Simply 7 quinoa snacks for review. (Disclosure: Sponsored post.) What can I say that I haven’t already said about the other Simply 7 products I tasted? These are delicious. I am a fan of quinoa. I know that eating them in chip form is not necessarily the healthiest, but it certainly is a fun and delicious way. If I had to pick chips to snack on, I would definitely prefer these over other store bought varieties.
As with other gluten-free products, these have a slight after taste. It’s not a bad after taste, just different from other chips. Unlike other brands, these are not greasy to the touch. They are light, crisp, and flavorful. The flavor is really embedded in each chip. It’s not like you can wipe away the flavor with your hands or a napkin.
Simply 7 Quinoa Chips flavors
- Sea Salt
- Sour Cream and Onion
I’m not the only one in my family who loves these. Both my mom and mother-in-law couldn’t stop snacking on these. I gave a couple of bags to my mother-in-law. After looking at the nutritional label, she decided on the Sour Cream and Onion and Cheddar. She was looking for the ones with the lowest carbohydrate content. Not only do these snacks have less fat than potato chips, there are other reasons to ooh and aah about Simply 7 snacks.

I wish I can say that I experimented with these chips, but I can’t. I really just ate them out of the bag, as is. I couldn’t even wait to pair them with a dip. Actually, they are good enough as they are.
