My husband likes candy and so does Big B (to my dismay). One of Big B’s favorite types of candy is the gummy candies. From worms to sour sugar-coated ones, he’ll take them if someone offers them. I rarely buy him candy and really limit what he consumes. It’s always a challenge when coming home from a birthday party to try and hide (usually throw) candies from his goody bag before he gets to them. There are candies that I am okay with, the ones made from natural ingredients.
We received the YumEarth® Organic Fruit Snack to review. (Disclosure: Sponsored post.) I featured YumEarth® before on this blog (Organic Candy Treats for Halloween). As Halloween is right around the corner, I wanted to try other snack options to hand out this year. The organic fruit snack really surprised me. I actually enjoyed them. I can’t take Big B’s word or opinion, he likes candy. I, on the other hand, am really picky about candy. I only like chocolate. So, after trying these out, I was pleasantly surprised.
YumEarth® Organic Fruit Snacks
- Made from organic ingredients
- Contains no: dairy, nuts, soy, or artificial colors and dyes
- 4 flavors: Banana, Cherry, Peach, and Strawberry
These are sweet, flavorful, and not sticky at all. I like that they are made from all natural ingredients, with nothing artificial. I especially like that they are fruit shaped. These are candies that I can buy and have no ill-feeling giving to my kids. Would I prefer to hand them a real fruit instead? Yes! However, since I am guilty of eating candy (chocolate) myself, I can’t be a hypocrite.
The price point for a bag of YumEarth® organic fruit snack is $4.49 (for 5-0.7 ounce bags). I know that it’s slightly a bit more expensive compared to other gummy fruit snacks out there (especially if you have a coupon). However, the price is actually quite competitive, especially for an organic product. I love that YumEarth® products are available at Walgreens, Target, CVS, and national chains. I don’t have to go to a specialty store or wait for an online purchase to get them.
